Facebook introduces disaster maps, announces early partners

With the help of UNICEF, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, and the World Food Programme, Facebook has developed a way to share aggregated location information for Facebook users who have their location settings enabled, in order to help disaster response organizations address critical gaps in information.
