Prompt for Facebook Connect if rule attempts to post to wall

I allow users to create local accounts on my site (i.e. not connected to Facebook). They can post articles, etc. without connecting. However, I have a Rule set up to "Post an update on a user's facebook wall" if the user does a certain action. However, that Rule can't fire if they haven't connected to Facebook. Is it possible to have it prompt to connect when the rule is trying to fire?
